Okay, now here’s the thing.

I’ve always been a Christmas lover kinda girl. No other festivity gets my blood running with thrill than Christmas Day.

I used to have an entire list of things that I wanted, however not things that I really needed just for the heck of it which I come to realize this year, I should be plainly grateful for the things that I already have.

But it isn’t wrong to dream and desire things that we do not have. I still want my damn Jimmy Choo’s and Chanel bag!

But let’s not lose focus as to why we are celebrating Christmas in the first place shall we?

Before you go ahead reading this post, watch the video below. It tells you exactly how it and what happened.
Seriously, load it patiently and watch until the end, there's even a message behind it.
It's worth the time, while loading the video, why not look at pictures below?

Predicting a rather simple and calm Christmas celebration for myself this year, I was extremely pumped up when we planned to have an earlier Christmas celebration between the usual’s.

Joshua, who had it all mapped out at least 2 weeks in advance of the dinner, deciding on a venue and then making reservation, it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for him.

To add more fun, I decided to come up with a theme of Red and Green along with any Christmas-sy head ornament to wear along.

But it isn’t really Christmas without the act of giving, which is why we decide to play Secret Santa to exchange presents among ourselves.

Clicking my heels behind as I strode across the mall making my way to the café that we agreed to have dinner in.

I was eager to see some of us again as always, reasons of exceedingly busy and clashing schedules that we all have in our lives, we were finally able to catch up again over dinner!

Seeing as it was planned 2 weeks ahead, everyone made the effort to block of that particular date for this dinner.

I swear, the café could have thrown us out and banned us from ever coming back there again with the amount of racket we made.

Knowing just how much things we had to share with one another, updating each other’s lives we needed a quiet place which is why we decided to have our early Christmas dinner at Desapark City.

Glancing at the entire place, it brought me back to the memories of me having my pastries in Perth.

I think our food was mostly left cold because most of the time we were either busy poking fun at each other or posing our youth away in front of the camera.

While the rest frittered away in conversation, I was busy rounding up the gifts and sorting them out for the gift exchange happening shortly.

However, not letting me be out of any pictures, I was still grabbed or rather I grabbed a few people and started clicking around with my camera too.

*~I don't know if I should claim he's a friend~*

*~The two reindeers~*

*~With all the presents~*

*~Nyahaha the working moments gmail in crime~*

Cops would have been called to be upon us, we were a group that laughed way too loud, knowing no shame with the camera, and doing the silliest things that most 21 year old above people wouldn’t do.

We were hazardous.

*~You got to watch the video to know what happened here~*

*~The ones in red and the ones in green~*

Joshua brought us to the playground where we could swap our gifts but that agenda was soon forgotten the moment we laid eyes on the toys that was available at the park.

Ignoring my heels and candy-cane pinafore dress, I ran towards the swings and other contraptions that they had.

Everyone was screaming in glee, squealing with giggles and calling out to each other in exhilaration to join one another.

The Christmas spirit certainly came early for us that night.

There were a few children before us but we must have frightened them away because towards the middle, we were the only people on the playground, mucking about with everything.

There are several reasons as to why I respect my friends, specially them.

They let loose and have fun the way we should even when we have the cheekiness of a 9 year-old trapped in a forced to work 20 over years old body.

Being close to midnight, we started picking our names that I brilliantly shredded for them to trade gifts with.

Needless to say, everyone was tearing open their gifts in joy to see what they had.

Christmas rocked way early for me this year, Amy sends her love and presents along all the way from UK and wrapping them in aluminum foil for the group.

That has got to be one of the sweetest thing a friend has done for me.

If people asked me how I spent my Christmas Eve of Christmas, I would have to say despite it being an early Christmas dinner, this was how I spend it and it was a blast.

*~With love from the DGMB-ians~*

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

Slapping on a little more compact powder and concealer that I usually apply, I took a double take in the bathroom mirror, and made my way out to my car from the office.

The eye bags from back-to-back plans are finally surfacing and have chosen to place themselves on my face to be displayed, which is why the extra make-up tools are needed.

Honestly though, getting out of the city congested traffic has become a routine for me that most people go through with numb feelings hoping that it was all just a big nightmare which would poof away once we open our eyes.

I tried that couple of times, and I was still at my spot in the car, music blasting away.

Annoyed of course.

Deciding at an unplanned decision, some of us headed to Laundry Bar to catch Silent Scenery as an old friend of ours was playing a gig that night.

I’ve never heard any of his music so in anticipation we made our way to the show.

It isn’t everyday you get to see an old friend-turn-to-musician-who plays in a band now.

It must come with age, the questions that I got that night most of the time was,

“How was work?”

I dread the time when I turn 30, and the questions may turn too

“Are you married yet?”

Let’s not go there.

*~Faiz-Me-Old friend turn musician Ivan from Silent Scenery~*

Exchanging name cards to a few familiar faces that were there for the performance as well that night, it was good catching up and exchanging work stories and information.

*~Me & Stephy who is now working in the event industry-one that I have left finally since I was 16~*

*~I squealed aloud when I saw him, I didn't know Jack was back from Sydney already~*

*~Army of Three and Lead singer of An Honest Mistake-Darren & Me~*

*~Me & Avril who now manages Car Crash Hearts~*

However, the key highlight of the night wasn’t just a band show, it was one of our good friend’s birthdays, and we rushed to surprise him for he wasn’t expecting anything on the day itself from any of us.

We waited for him to arrive, I glanced at my watch profusely that he was late and I was hoping to get home by midnight.

I could feel my eye lids falling heavily and was yearning for a good night sleep for the next day was a working day.

To amuse ourselves while other bands were playing, I decided to spread the Christmas lollypop cheer to the rest of my friends.

Some was rather unwilling at first but politely obliged to my threats.

I think it had something to do with my heels, 4.5 inches isn’t something to scoff at, mind you.

Which reminds me, I overspend on shoes again last month.

*~The bois with their lollypop~*

Some was more than happy to take the picture, A little too happy if you ask me.

We threw various poses at her and she played up to each poses.

Yeah, to love Spongebob, you have to have no humiliation I suppose.

*~The many faces of the ghetto within~*

An hour before his birthday ended, he arrived with a big grin on his face as we sang the happy birthday song to him aloud.

However too tired from work, I called it a night and headed home.

*~With the birthday gift~*

*~HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA, WITH <3 from us all~*

Kicking off those heels that I obviously overpaid, I sank into slumber without even removing my make-up.

No wonder zits are popping up like mushrooms.

There are various reasons as to why friends are remarkably comes as an importance in our lives.

They are there to be there for you, make you smile, hug you when you need one, tell you what you are doing wrong or even just plainly there to annoy the heck out of you.

But whatever may the reasons be, the bottom line of them being in your life is that it makes us feeling pleasant with their mere presence of friendship.

Even when there are some that makes me speechless with indignation of mockery.

Couple of months ago while I was driving home from work, I received this text message from her.

It isn’t every day I get a soulful and deep message from her, feeling befuddled I asked her what was she trying to mean or say.

Instead of explaining, this is what she said back to me in return.

-_-"

I need her in my life because she entertains me daily despite the fact that she insults me to no end with mockery and jokes that at times, I wish I could do more than just mess up her hair to bug her.

Life in the workplace would never be the same without our ludicrous and comical conversation.

And, to exasperate me further she decided to text me right after that conversation that transpired between us.

Here is one of the few example of the many conversations we have.

Jen:  dont layan them la there's so many other more cooler people to layan.LIKE ME MUAHAHAHAHAA

me:  -_-" din hear that

Jen:  oh yes you did

ASK DAVID TO RENT A HORSE OR SOMEETHING LA!

I think my life got shorten by 10 years.

But then again, I also have my dosage of torture inflicted upon her as well.

So we are even, you hear that you ghetto biatch?

Love you long time!

It’s just a couple more days and Christmas befalls upon us.

I haven’t been to shopping malls lately due to jam packed schedules of various reasons

The tiniest slot for a rest on my bed at home, I jump on it like no other.

It’s either the people around me are extremely pumped up for this year’s yuletide festive or they are lacking of it because of stressful work environment.

Whatever the reason may be, at anytime of the day when one receives a Christmas treat, a smile is bound to spread across those lips and loosen those tense shoulders a tad bit.

*~Bad hair day~*

One of the sub-editors gave out a couple of Christmas goodies around the office, where it got most people feeling cheerful.

When I received mine, I was a whole lot of cheerful because who wouldn’t be when they receive a big colourful sweet on a stick?

*~Sam who gave me the lollypop that started the craze~*

*~Editorial Assistant Susan was all smiles~*

*~Nesvita Nicholas who obliged to me~*

*~YoungAdi was more than happy to grab the lollypop from me~*

*~After a whole lot of forcing done on CamyJie~*

I was so overjoyed with the lollypop, I decided to spread the elation and cheer to my other colleagues.

Some were feeling tired and stressed out so I happily enforced it as a rule to take a picture and smile with the lollypop.

*~Adorable Hannah who was all eager to take the picture!~*

*~Rodney who gleefully took the lollypop~*

*~Web manager Prem who you can see how badly I tortured them for the picture~*

*~Intern Ian from UK was the hardest to coax for the picture, I swear he is worse than a girl~*

*~See Nicholas was indeed immersed in the happy charm feeling~*

Some were hesitant, due to the exhausted appearances that they had, but I convinced them to no end that they looked great.

I even got most people who hated the camera to take a picture, that includes shy people around my office.

It was past working hours anyways, why not have a little fun?

*~My boss looking freaky that I swear all kids would have nightmare with this picture~*

*~Animelover Elena who I chased her up to the toilet to get the picture~*

*~We even used the fan we had as props to convince her that she looked fine~*

*~Sweetheart Rosheen was bashful~*

*~Mummy Chaz trying to hide her eyebags apparently~*

No matter how old someone grows, you can’t take the innocent delight of the child we once were.
